I have been an avid Yogi since 1995 and a Certified Yoga Instructor since 1999. I am also a registered member with Canadian Yoga Allizance and insured. I teach Kripalu style of teaching - also called "meditation in motion". I integrate meditation, pranayama (breathing exercises), and theory into this classical style of teaching.
Teaching from the heart, every student is encouraged to work within their comfort zone while encouraged to grow at their own pace. Self-acceptance and a "Beginner's Mind" is the basis of this theory. Classes are appropriate for beginners to advanced intermediates, as modifications are provided for you to work within your own level of comfort.
The studio is spacious and inviting. Classes are held every Monday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in a drop in style only ($15.00 cash or cheque only). First come - first serve, so please be sure to be here within 15 minutes of practice.
I also provide Saturday morning classes - bi-weekly, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Please register your e-mail address with me to receive a monthly schedule or you can always find me on Facebook for updates.
In my classes I make it obvious that it's not all about flexibility or strength meditation or even breathwork. My emphasis in class is to provide the best possible healing experience for you on that particular day. My intent in each class is to create a fun experience where you allow your soul to soar, instead of weighing yourself down with expectations. This is not like any other yoga class that you've done before!
My yoga classes are popular for creative sequencing and motivational meditations. This is not Hot Yoga but the coolest yoga class you will take!
Discover for yourself this elegant style of healing both body and mind. More than just a physical exercise, more than just "sitting around and breathing", it's the perfect combination of rest and activity to increase your life force (Qi) and encourage health and balance in your life.
